Founded in 2010 by childhood friends Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty, Song for the Mute is all about choosing materials carefully. The duo meticulously develops, samples, and selects fabrics in collaboration with artisanal Italian and Japanese mills before patterning their intimate, story-driven collections as seen with the Flower Shirt Jacket Camel.

First introduced in 23.1 ‘1999’, this jacket exists in the space between a heavyweight oversized shirt and a lightweight outer layer, offering versatility in wear. This season’s iteration is cut from Japanese corduroy, with two embroidered and beaded sunflower embellishments adorning the front and back, introducing a sense of softness against a structured, utilitarian base.
