Founded in 2017 by Jingwei Yin, Shanghai based Oude Waag was named after a 15th century “weigh house” in Amsterdam where the standards of value for goods were set. Oude Waag aesthetic cultivate the relationship between mind, clothing and body through fluid draping, textile innovation and feminine details which gave the brand a reputation as a rising force in Chinese luxury. Jingwei Yin describes Oude Waag as a diary, an evolving record of human experience punctuated by small, abstract moments of emotion and intimacy.
