Phaedo Studios was founded in 2014 by Chinese Designer ZhuZhu who studied at London’s Central Saint Martins and was the first Chinese designer to attend the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgium. Phaedo Studios is an avant-garde label exploring the world of fashion with a unique, artistic approach. ZhuZhu now works on his artistic designs in his studio that was built into a cave in the Chinese countryside. The avant-garde brand specialises in deconstructed tailoring, experimental fabric washing and dying and the crafting of unique silhouettes. With garments often constructed out of natural fabrics, silks and cottons, Phaedo Studios shows how fashion and art often compliment each other in explaining the mood and cultural symbols of an era.
