After graduating from Interior Design in the UK, Steven Yeung founded kar-studio in China in 2020. kar is an aesthetic brand covering furniture and fashion design. From the root of the Sanskrit “karma”, the multi-disciplinary brand explore the cause and effect of aesthetic, integrating tradition and modernity, presenting modern design in the core of Oriental philosophy. Kar sources it’s inspiration from art, literature and personal experiences such as memories and emotions. Kar-studio focuses on design sensibility, aiming to convey emotion through design for a resonance with people. Meanwhile, Kar is constantly experimenting craftsmanship and materials to express the forms of design in more possibility.
