Stovaigh

Founded by designer Liu Yiran, Stovaigh is a contemporary artisanal brand shaped by a material-led, craft-driven philosophy. After graduating from the London College of Fashion, Ran developed his practice through construction and textile study, later influenced by Maurizio Altieri of Carpe Diem, whose discipline and devotion to traditional craftsmanship remain a guiding reference. Rooted in a dialogue between Japan and China, Stovaigh draws on historic textile practices and archival fabrics. Its materials are developed in-house and woven in small heritage mills in Aichi, Japan, where hand processes and generational knowledge endure. Natural dyeing, hand-painted surfaces, and subtle irregularities define its material language, complemented by ceramic buttons, hand-forged metal hardware, and wooden tags. Each collection reflects a philosophy of enduring menswear, focused on craftsmanship, wearability, and longevity rather than trend.
